Welcome to Carers Rights Day from Carers Trust Solihull

, ,
Welcome! On Carers Rights Day we acknowledge the huge contribution carers make to society. We also provide information on Carers legal rights to information, advice, assessments and support.

Carers face great challenges in looking after their friends or family members and often need to deal with complex problems whilst undertaking their caring role.

This year Carers Rights Day falls on Friday 30th November 2018. If you are a carer  please make an appointment with a carer specialist at Solihull Community Hubs in Chelmsley Wood Library or The Core in Solihull town centre, between 10 – 12.30pm. You can call to book an appointment on 0121 788 1143

Advice will be available on: support in caring; carers assessments; carers employment rights; carer benefits; and carer contingency planning. But above all there will be a friendly face and a shoulder to lean on.

Is it really a year since we changed our name from the Carers Centre to Carers Trusts Solihull? How time fly’s

We are an independent charity supporting carers of all ages across the borough. If you live in the borough, go to school in the borough or you care for someone that lives in the borough we are here for you.

In the last year, we have worked with Solihull Council, Children in Need and the Big Lottery to extend support to Parent Carers, more Young Carers and Adult Carers planning for the future.

Have a look at our improving Website https://www.solihullcarers.org/ and let us know what you think.

Take good care.
