Solihull Young Adult Carers reach the top of Mount Snowdon
10 young adult carers were able to go on an all-expenses paid camping trip to Snowdonia courtesy of funders, Quilter.
The weather was on our side and enabled us to chill around the campfire on a picturesque campsite surrounded by the Snowdonia valleys, have a BBQ, toast marshmallows, swim in the river and ultimately climb the mountain in good conditions.
Reaching the top was an awesome achievement for the exhausted climbers; at the bottom heavy rain set in – good timing!
Funding allowed us to go for an evening meal out and go to Bounce Below —trampolining in the caves. It was a fantastic experience for all, new friendships were formed and team work really came into play.
Young adult carers were able to take a worry free break from caring and enjoy themselves – thanks to Quilter for making it possible.
This trip also enabled us to continue to make good use of the camping equipment provided by Rotary St Alphege — a gift that keeps on giving!
