Local micro-pub raise £10,000 for young carers in Solihull

,

Local micro pub The Pup and Duckling have been hosting a quiz night since 2016 and all proceeds go to supporting young and young adult carers in Solihull.  In June 2019 they reached £10,000.

The pub puts ‘fun’ in fundraising by running a quiz night – alongside games, laughter, general knowledge, getting in the rounds and local fish and chips.

The pub donates all money raised from the quiz to the Charity and is great example of local business caring for their community whilst maximising customer experience and increasing trade – the idea is of benefit to all.

On 25th July the pub was awarded with a trophy to commemorate raising £10000 which will make a significant difference to the lives of young and young adult carers in Solihull.  Money raised will support children and young people whose lives are affected by caring to receive support from information and advice to training, respite and one-one support work.
