Carers week 2019 in Solihull has been packed full of events for carers of all ages

Carers Walk

We kicked off on Sunday the 9th with our annual carers walk, this also included free entry to Baddesley Clinton House and grounds. 38 walkers joined the event and some raised some money for carers through sponsorship

Awareness raising with a cuppa

On Monday the 10th we spent most of the day on Solihull high street with our stands and information. We managed to stay till 2pm when the rain washed us out

Celebration event and launch of the young carers promise

On Tuesday 11th we held an open event at Castle Bromwhich Youth Centre. This was to mark the official launch of the young carers promise. this was a piece of work that was done with young carers and was signed earlier this year (full story here)

More awareness raising this time in Chemsley Wood on Thursday 13th June. Carers Trust Solihull was giving out leaflets, balloons and information

Live panel and interview

on Friday the 14th June we hosted our first live panel. The panel looked at what is a carer? How partnerships can help carers, how to meet an increasing demand and what does caring mean to the panel

Despite the expected forecast it stayed nice in Weston Super Mare on Saturday the 15th.
