January to March 2022, Carers Virtual Meet Up held on Zoom every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. Join us for a cuppa and a chat in the comfort of your own home.
January 2022
Wednesday 19th January, Stress Management Session 10.30 – 12pm
Learn some skills and coping strategies to manage stress and anxiety. This session is being held on Zoom
Thursday 27th January, Goldilocks and The Three Bears Panto (Birmingham Hippodrome)
Tickets are available for you and the person you care for to enjoy an afternoon of laughter and entertainment. No Transport available – only tickets provided.
February 2022
Tuesday 1st February, Contingency Planning 2 – 3.30pm
This session helps you build a “Plan B” in case of emergencies. Find out what resources and support are available to you and create a plan. This session is being held on Zoom
Thursday 10th February, Parent Carers Kooth Information Session 10.30 – 11.30am
Kooth is an online mental health and wellbeing platform for young people aged 11+ to access free advice and support. This session will provide a full overview of the service and give you the opportunity to ask questions. This session is being held on Zoom
Tuesday 15th February, Carers Relaxation Day 10am – 2pm
Relaxation treatments available for carers, including Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Reflexology and Neck and Shoulder Massage. Booking is essential. Venue: The Bridge 234 Stratford Rd, Shirley, Solihull B90 3AG
Wednesday 23rd February, Virtual Quiz 2-3.15pm
Join us for a fun quiz including some game show classics. You don’t have to be a mastermind to play and there are prizes to be won. This session is being held on Zoom
March 2022
Friday 4th March, Digital Resources For Carers 1 – 2.15pm
Find out what support is available online for carers, a demonstration of certain websites and an opportunity to ask questions. This session is being held on Zoom
Monday 7th March, Introduction to Safeguarding 2- 3.15pm
This session will look at what Safeguarding is, what it means for you and the person you care for and give you the opportunity to ask questions. Venue to be confirmed.
Wednesday 30th March, Botanical Gardens Birmingham
Enjoy exploring stunning gardens, glasshouses showing tropical plants, tea room and garden gift shop. No Transport available – only tickets provided.
