Sitting and Support Service Project Coordinator  

12 hours per week – £22,735 pro-rata – 12 month contract

You will coordinate, manage and develop our pilot Sitting Service. Supporting both family carers and the person they care for.  You will assess risk and their needs against the eligibility criteria of the sitting service. You will lead a team of volunteers who will sit with individuals allowing family carers to take a short break from their caring responsibilities. You will be responsible for managing all planned visits, and the well-being of the volunteers.

Adult Carers Assessment Practitioner

37 hours, full-time post – £22,735 pro-rata 

You will equip, support and upskill adult carers 25+ to maintain a healthy life balance through their caring role and to help increase their knowledge and understanding. You will assist and deliver person-centred assessments, reviews and design support plans for carers who are caring for someone over the age of 18 years.

Young Carers Activities Sessional Worker

0 hour contract – £9.68 per hour – Permanent contract

You will lead and/or supervise young carers clubs, days out and residential trips and more for carers aged 5 to 25.  You will help deliver safe, fun and inclusive activities that comply with session plans and procedures.  Our Events & Activities Co-ordinator will organise the activities and you will deliver them.  You will receive a rota and choose days that suit you.

Young Carers Driver

0 hour contract – £8.91 per hour – Permanent contract

You will use our vehicles to provide transport to and from venues, young and young adult carer homes in and around Solihull borough.  Minibus training given, if required.

We depend on contributions of time and skills so that we can continue to provide support to carers of all ages. Whatever has inspired you to join us, you could become part of a vibrant, friendly community that makes a real difference.

We have opportunities based in various locations across Solihull for carers, in our offices or community based provision such youth clubs or coffee mornings.

We provide Core Training for all of our volunteers when they start their placement with us, so they are already skilled and confident enough to work with the team and carers from day one.
