Quality Ensured for Carers
Solihull Carers Centre has been awarded ISO 9001 in recognition of its quality standards implemented throughout its work for carers. With over 20,000 carers across the Borough of Solihull and 7000 of these registered with Solihull Carers Centre, the charity plays an important role in supporting residents who care unstintingly for their family and friends.
Cllr Bob Sleigh, Cabinet Member for Healthier Communities, who spoke at the Centre’s recent AGM, said: “The Council recognises the value that carers make to the Borough. Without their commitment, as a statutory body, we could not pick up what they do on a voluntary basis.”
Maggie Leaver, Chief Officer of Solihull Carers Centre added: “As a local charity we are very proud to be able to support so many carers across the Borough who are so dedicated to the caring and wellbeing of their loved ones. The contribution carers make should never be forgotten or underestimated and their work needs to be fully recognised.
“We are delighted we can now show the quality of our work we do for carers by being awarded ISO 9001.”
